How do I sign up for Swaypay and who can use it?


You simply choose Swaypay during the checkout process on any one of our partner merchant websites - just tap the Swaypay button in your shopping cart. In order to use Swaypay you must: Live in the US Be at least 14 years old Have a valid and verifiable mobile number Use a US credit or debit card to make a purchase

Can I use Swaypay on sites that don't accept Swaypay?


Swaypay partners with top merchants, and we’re we are adding new ones every day! If you’d like to see Swaypay on your favorite websites, please post on their Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or send them an email to let them know how much you love using Swaypay to purchase! Example social media post: Hey @Nike, I want to pay with @Swaypayit ! Example Email: Hi Nike! I’ve used Swaypay to buy online at other retailers and would love to use them to shop with you! Please add https://www.swaypayit.com/ as a payment option. Thanks!




Are there any fees to use Swaypay?


No!




What information do you collect?


When you pay for things through Swaypay, we collect: user account information that you upload on our Sites, such as your picture, name, home address, email address and phone number; information about purchases made through our sites; purchase and sale transaction information such as your credit card information and the details of your transaction; information contained in any email messages, questions, comments, complaints or requests you send us; your current geographic location; your IP address; the date and time you accessed our services, the hardware, software or internet browser you used to access our Sites, and information about your computer’s operating system, such as application versions and your language settings; information about which pages have been shown to you, site navigation details and links on our Sites that you follow; information you submit to our Sites in connection with sweepstakes, contests, surveys and other promotions offered by us; and information, including images, contained in posts you make about Swaypay, its merchants, and its services on publicly accessible websites, blogs, mobile applications and/or community forums.




How do you know if I posted?


We require that you tag us in all your Swaypay posts and include #swaypayit in your caption so we can verify your post and the order associated with that post. If you do not tag us, your post will not count.




How am I "paying with posts"?


How It Works: 1. You will browse your favorite participating online stores and see special Swaypay pricing on each product. The product will have its original price, and then the Swaypay price which will show up as some dollar amount plus number of social posts. 2. You will add whatever you want to your cart, and choose Swaypay to checkout. 3. At checkout, you will pay a portion of your order up front, then you will have 30 days to publish the specified number of social posts featuring your purchase. 4. If you post, you're good to go. If you don't post, you will be automatically charged the remainder balance of the order amount on day 31.




How does Swaypay work?


1. Browse your favorite participating online stores and see special Swaypay pricing on each product. Click the Swaypay button on the product page and enter in your Instagram account handle (ie: @swaypayit) to find out your eligible discount and required number of Instagram posts. This will be applied to your order when you checkout with Swaypay. . 2. Once you’ve added all of your items to your cart, choose Swaypay to checkout. 3. At checkout, you will pay the dollar amount due for your order up front. Then you will have 30 days to publish the specified number of social posts featuring your purchase. View Post Guidelines. 4. What happens if I don't post?


If you don’t post the required number of posts within the posting time frame and guidelines, you will be charged the remainder of your discounted price on the 31st day to the credit or debit card used for the initial payment.




How do you know if I posted?


We require that you tag us in all your Swaypay posts and include #swaypayit in your caption so we can verify your post and the order associated with that post. If you do not tag us, your post will not count.




Does my Instagram have to be public to use Swaypay?


Nope! However, if your Instagram account is private, you must accept Swaypay’s Instagram follow request so Swaypay can view and approve your posts.




Why am I getting an error at checkout?


Please inquire via the chat in our checkout if you run into any issues.





Pricing & Payments

My order was cancelled or did not go through. Why was I charged?


When an attempt at a purchase is made you may see a pending charge on your statement. This is called an authorization hold. If the purchase is successful, the charge will go through after around 24 hours. If the purchase is not successful and you did not receive an order confirmation, then the charge will be removed from the account, typically after 48 hours, although this can take up to 10 business days depending on your card issuer. Please contact your card issuer for further info about authorization holds.




Do you price things differently based on my social media following?


Yes. Swaypay’s algorithm takes into account many different factors to determine your price - from follower count to engagement. Swaypay retailers set a price and Swaypay applies that purchase based on your eligibility.

What payment methods are accepted?


Swaypay accepts:

  • Debit cards attached to bank accounts
  • Credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard™, Discover, American Express®.
Swaypay does not accept:
  • Pre-paid or re-loadable credit or debit cards
  • PayPal®
  • ACH bank transfers
  • Checks, money orders, cash or cash equivalents




Will I be notified when I am charged?


Payments are processed after you complete your order. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as that happens.

Is there a limit to how much I can spend with Swaypay


No! However, you can be suspended if you do not follow the content posting guidelines with your purchase. Ie: If you delete your posts before the 30 day window of time you have to keep them up.




Will I get charged if I don't post?


When you purchase something with Swaypay, you have a window of 30 days from the date of purchase to post the specified number of posts featuring your purchased item(s). If you don’t post, you will be automatically charged the remaining balance, which is the amount difference between what you paid using Swaypay and the non-Swaypay original price. For example, if you purchase a $100 jacket, and the Swaypay pricing is $50 & 2 Instagram posts: You will be charged $50 up front when you checkout. You will be expected to post 2 Instagram posts featuring that jacket within 30 days. If you don't post within the guidelines and timeframe, we will charge your credit card an additional $50 (plus tax) on day 31. Even though your credit card is charged twice in this case, both charges will add up to the amount of just one order.




Why do I have 2 charges for a single purchase?


In the event that you do not publish the required number of social posts featuring your purchase, you will see a second charge on your card for the remainder balance of your Swaypay order. For example, if you were buying a $100 tshirt, and the Swaypay pricing is $50 & 2 Instagram Posts: You will be charged $50 up front. If you don't post, we will charge your credit card an additional $50 (plus tax) on day 31. Even though your credit card is charged twice in this case, both charges will add up to the amount of just one order.




How will Swaypay charges appear on my bank statement?


Every Swaypay purchase will show up on your bank statement labeled with Swaypay and the merchant’s name. It will look something like: SWAYPAY*[merchant name] (ie: SWAYPAY*SHOPBEYONCE).




Can I use a retailer's promo codes in addition to the Swaypay discount?


You cannot combine a promo code if you choose to pay with Swaypay.




Can I use Swaypay in addition to Afterpay and other alternative payment methods?


You cannot combine Swaypay with any other alternative payment method.





Managing Orders

Where can I see my Swaypay orders?


You can access your pending and past Swaypay orders by logging into your Swaypay dashboard. Orders will remain pending until Swaypay’s post tracking software has processed your posts upon the 30 day deadline. If you have Swaypay-specific questions, please email support@swaypayit.com.




Where is my order?


For questions about your order tracking or shipping information, product information and returns or refunds, you must contact the retailer you purchased them from directly. Swaypay only handles payment processing and content submission and you may contact us at support@swaypayit.com. Swaypay does not have detailed information about your order.




I tried to use Swaypay but got an error message when I tried to check out?


Remember, you can only use Swaypay if you: -Live in the US -Are at least 14 years old -Have a valid and verifiable mobile number -Are using a US credit/debit card to make a purchase. If there is an issue with your payment card we recommend reaching out to your bank first to see what the issue is. Some banks will have "online protection" and block website payments. Let them know you want to make a payment to "Swaypay." You may not be eligible.





Returns & Refunds

How do returns and refunds work?


Returns, refunds, and exchanges are handled by and in accordance with the retailer where you originally purchased your items. Contact the retailer where you placed your order. As soon as the retailer processes and notifies Swaypay of the return, our customers are automatically refunded that amount and Swaypay cancels your pending posts. If you have a question about the refund amount, contact the retailer directly for details. If you receive a partial refund due to an exchange or the return of certain item(s) in your order, you still must submit your posts. If you return your full order for a refund, your pending posts will be cancelled.




When do I get my refund?


After you return your order to the retailer in accordance with their return policies, the retailer will process it. As soon as the retailer notifies Swaypay of the return, your pending posts will be cancelled on Swaypay’s dashboard and you will not be able to submit content for these posts or receive any cash back or credit. Refunds may take several business days to process once they are received by Swaypay. You may view the status of your orders in your Swaypay dashboard. Once the refund is received by our system it will be shown there. In rare cases during a return, some retailers will no longer be an Swaypay partner. When this happens, we no longer have a relationship with this retailer and the refund process is different. Contact the retailer directly to issue the refund directly.




Can I delete my posts if I return an order?


Sure. But make sure your refund is successfully processed before deleting your post to avoid getting auto-charged.





Post Guidelines

What happens to the content I post through Swaypay?


Once you've posted content with Swaypay, you've given permission to Swaypay to license the content to the brand for use within the Swaypay platform it appears, or for any advertising outside of that. Remember to keep the approved post up for at least 30 days to avoid suspension from Swaypay.




What's the approval process?


Not all posts will count towards your balance. We will review your post for requirements and quality. Key Requirements:

  • You must post from the Instagram account you checked out with.
  • Instagram stories and Instagram lives are not accepted. Your posts must be saved static grid posts of photo, video, Instagram Reels or IGTV.
  • You must tag/include @swaypayit and #swaypayit in your caption as well as the required retailer tags.
  • You must follow @swaypayit so we can see and verify your posts
  • You must post the stated number of posts per order.
  • All required posts must be published and uploaded to your Swaypay dashboard within 30 days from purchase.
  • Your post must remain live for 30 days after posting.
Posting Guidelines: Accepted:
  • Vibrant lighting
  • Products in full frame - worn or still life
  • Creative captions
  • Filters and Instagram Reels editing
  • Using your own tags and hashtags in addition to Swaypay and retailer requirements
Not Accepted:
  • Explicit content
  • Blurry images
  • Products not fully visible in frame
  • Content you don't own
  • Dark lighting
  • Posts that aren’t also uploaded to your Swaypay dashboard




How long am I required to keep my post live?


Your post must remain live for 30 days. You may remove the post after the 30 days, but most customers leave the post on their feed as they would any other. Our technology regularly scans to make sure your post link is live. If yours is deleted before 30 days of posting, you will be automatically charged the remaining order balance.




How does Swaypay use my personal information?


Swaypay uses your personal information to tailor and improve your experience on our platform. You can update this information through your account settings at any time. If you choose to deactivate your Swaypay account, you have the right to request your information be removed from Swaypay’s database by contacting support@swaypayit.com. When you make purchases through Swaypay, we collect:

  • User account information that you upload on your Consumer Portal such as your name, email address and phone number
  • Purchase and sale transaction information such as your credit card information and the details of your transaction
  • Information contained in any email messages, questions, comments, complaints or requests you send us;
  • Your current geographic location
  • Your IP address
  • The date and time you accessed our services, the hardware, software or internet browser you used to access our Sites, and information about your computer’s operating system, such as application versions and your language settings;
  • Information about which pages have been shown to you, site navigation details and links on our Sites that you follow;
  • Information you submit to our Sites in connection with sweepstakes, contests, surveys and other promotions offered by us; and
  • Information, including images, contained in posts you make about Swaypay, its retailers, and its services on publicly accessible websites, blogs, mobile applications and/or community forums.




How does the post process work?


When you complete your Swaypay purchase, you will be charged your discounted Swaypay price upfront at checkout and then you’ll have 30 days to post the required number of posts featuring your purchase(s) and tag @swaypayit When you publish your Instagram posts, you must follow the Swaypay post guidelines, including the required tags. Each retailer will have their own required tags and hashtags, but you must also tag @swaypayit and include #swaypayit in your captions. You must also follow @swaypayit so we can confirm you made your posts. If you don't post, we will charge your credit card the remainder on day 31.
